Speech Enhancement with Signal Subspace Filter Based on Perceptual Post Filtering

چکیده
A novel technique is presented to design the signal subspace speech enhancement based on perceptual post filtering. Firstly, by subspace filter the noisy speech is enhanced. The underlying principle is to decompose the vector space of the noisy signal into a signal plus noise subspace and a noise subspace. The decomposition can theoretically be performed by applying the Karhunen-Loeve transform to the noisy signal. Then for reducing stationary noise added to speech in noise Environments spectral subtraction is used. Finally, by a perceptual filter based on hearing masking effect the enhanced speech is smoothed, the clean speech is gained. Keywords-Karhunen loeve transform, Spectral subtraction, Perceptual filter.

Subspace-Based Speech Enhancement with Perceptual Filterbank and SNR-Aware Technique
In this paper, a new subspace-based speech enhancement algorithm is presented. First, we construct a perceptual filterbank from psycho-acoustic model and incorporate it with the subspace-based enhancement approach. This filterbank is created through a five-level wavelet packet decomposition. Next, the prior SNR of each critical band are taken to decide the attenuation factor of the optimal line...

Speech Enhancement by Modified Convex Combination of Fractional Adaptive Filtering
This paper presents new adaptive filtering techniques used in speech enhancement system. Adaptive filtering schemes are subjected to different trade-offs regarding their steady-state misadjustment, speed of convergence, and tracking performance. Fractional Least-Mean-Square (FLMS) is a new adaptive algorithm which has better performance than the conventional LMS algorithm. Normalization of LMS ...
متن کاملMicrophone array post-filtering using supervised machine learning for speech enhancement
High level of noise reduces the perceptual quality and intelligibility of speech. Therefore, enhancing the captured speech signal is important in everyday applications such as telephony and teleconferencing. Microphone arrays are typically placed at a distance from a speaker and require processing to enhance the captured signal. Beamforming provides directional gain towards the source of intere...
